Here’s how cool Rob Halford is…
It was almost 11PM UK time, and he took time out to give KDKB a call. Because this is “his” station. We’ve had a relationship with Priest since long before I got here. Rob has a home in Paradise Valley. Which is the “Beverly Hills” of Phoenix. He comes by when he’s in town. And, he’s a genuinely solid dude. Here’s a quickie with “The Metal God!”

Always good to see an old friend. And by “old,” I mean “friend that makes *me* feel old.” Zach was just a kid starting out, when I was on 92-9 in Memphis. And now…I’ve played *his* band’s music for the better part of a decade. He’s one of the good guys, and I’m glad he’s done so well. He stopped by during his mini-tour of the Southwest, and laid it down acoustically. Once again, I get to get my Mutt Lange on. There’re a couple of videos from this appearance in the Neanderpaul TV section. Enjoy!

Being a *huge* Mr. Big / Billy Sheehan fan, I was intrigued when I heard he was involved in a new band with Richie Kotzen and Mike Portnoy. Given the talent involved, I knew they were going to be musically proficient. The question was; “Would the songs suck?” I’m happy to report…they do not. Unfortunately, I was unable to persuade the band to play live during their appearance. So, you’ll have to take my word for it on this one. Or, you could check out their CD, or box set (I know!). There’s video of this appearance in the Neanderpaul TV section.

This, is one of the best bands in music today. They bring an energy, and enthusiasm that is infectious. So far…they remain a fairly well-kept secret. I’m hopeful that changes sooner than later. Because they really deserve it. I’m also extremely stoked that they let me produce their live performances when they stop by. Hope you enjoy this appearance by Vintage Trouble. The video for “Nancy Lee” is in the Neanderpaul TV section.
