I hit Fenway with Zakk Wylde for a Sox/Yankees game. This was the live pre-game broadcast at a bar across the St. from Fenway. Don’t be shocked if you hear Z drop a bad word. I think we used the beep. In fact, you’d be hard-pressed to find a broadcast involving Zakk Wylde that doesn’t have profanity within.

So, Zakk Wylde calls in. And the midday chick and I decide to let him hear it after his beloved Yankees choke. We step up with a bet! And take him to a game. We ended up losing said bet. The audio of the results of that loss, can be found elsewhere on the site. I believe you can hear it all on the “Ozzfest 10th Anniversary” section.

Taking my life in my own hands by asking the tough questions. I honestly don’t think Zakk could remember this day, if we offered him seven figures. He was oblivious to just about everything. It always amazes me that Slash remembers me every time we hang. He & Duff are good people. I met them the first time, backstage at the Orpheum Theater in 1987. They were just starting out. We shared a few beers, and a guy named Rod Smallwood, who manages Iron Maiden, kept trying to buy my denim jacket off my back for $100. I had had a kick ass artist, hand paint the album cover of the first Maiden album on the back. I then, lent it to a chick…and yup…never saw it again. This is from 2004 in Boston.

An example of Neanderpaul on the road. Staind played a free show on Boston’s City Hall Plaza. A fine excuse to head out for a pop (or two). We hung out at one of Boston’s oldest bars, and proceeded to get drunk on the air. Now that it’s been so long, I think it’s safe to admit that. Right? Oh. Well then, it was all an act. I admit nothing!
