I think this is at least the 3rd…maybe 4th different Lars Ulrich interview on this site. This time, it’s the night of Game 7 of the ALCS between the Red Sox & Yankees in 2004. All day we were screwing around with the Metallica guys, and it was Lars’ turn. Lars…can hang. And just obliterates Dave Mustaine. We also found out that the cheese steak I stole was actually Lars’

From my second stint at WAAF, in Boston. Everyone knew I was a big Oakland Raiders fan. But…The New England Patriots were on their way to their 2nd Superbowl in as many years. So, I put this together pretty quick. It went over well. It was tough for me to sing their praises with conviction. Trust me.

Here’s a song parody from the Boston Red Sox 2004 World Series run. Set to the tune of Shinedown’s hit tune, and referencing Sox ace pitcher Pedro Martinez’ jersey number. I think the band has heard it. Fun Fact: WAAF is where Shinedown did the first acoustic performance of “Simple Man,” that exploded nationally.

This was an interview done after I was inducted into an industry trade magazine called “Friday Morning Quarterback”‘s Hall Of Fame. I guess they think I’m good! Click images to read.

In 2008…I was inducted as part of the first class in the Friday Morning Quarterback Radio Hall Of Fame. I was named one of the top five Active Rock Music Directors in the industry.
