We hung out at one of Boston’s oldest bars, and proceeded to get drunk on the air. Now that it’s been so long, I think it’s safe to admit that. Right? Oh. Well then, it was all an act. I admit nothing!

So, they set me up to be the last interview with the Foo Fighters. Dave & Taylor are pretty silly and this came off great. I present to you for the first time, the raw interview. Dave says a bad word or two. And we deface a table. By deface, I mean Dave drew the “Rush 2112” logo, and we played several games of Hangman. I wanted to take the table, and auction it off for charity. But, the Worcester Centrum wouldn’t give it up. Opportunity. Missed.

The Program Director, who would fire me about 3-4 days after this interview, was out of town, and didn’t hear the interview as it happened live. My guess is, someone *told* him we were out of line. Typical.

Read MoreThis was show #1 for the 10th Ann. Ozzfest. I lost a bet (audio can be heard elsewhere on the site) with Zakk Wylde, and had to wear a Yankees jersey…in Boston…in front of 10,000+ people. We were ridiculed mercilessly. But, lots of people also bought us beers. It was a great day. Good times at WAAF.

But, and nobody expected this, it is Boston’s longest-running Rock station now. I had a great time during my first tenure there.
This was the first time I was there 24 years ago. The demo that got me the job in Memphis.
