Fun songs that told stories. Some of which, ended in ironic twists. The idea here was a little riff that our guitarist Rick brought in to the studio. He said he&#8217;d heard that hookers in old Ireland &amp; England were referred to as &#8220;Mashers.&#8221; In true-to-form fashion, nobody researched it. We just said &#8220;Hey!&#8230;That&#8217;s awesome! Let&#8217;s write a song about it!&#8221; Now, live, I&#8217;d improvise the price paid. But, other than that,<\/p>\n<p>And this is it. The story of Lucy McGee. She is &#8220;The Masher.&#8221; The story is fun. And yes&#8230;another surprise ending!<\/p>\n<p><em>Saw a little girl<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Said Hey, what&#8217;s your name?<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Let&#8217;s go around the world<\/em><br \/>\n<em> An&#8217; play some night-time games<\/em><br \/>\n<em> She said, How do you do?<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I&#8217;m Lucy McGee<\/em><br \/>\n<em> How&#8217;s about a room for two<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I said, sounds good to me<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Found a little dive<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Shady part of town<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I dropped seventy five<\/em><br \/>\n<em> And the little girl went down<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Lucy the Masher<\/em><br \/>\n<em> She makes the night go by so well<\/em><br \/>\n<em> So well<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Oh, you can use her an&#8217; trash her<\/em><br \/>\n<em> The kind of love that you can buy and sell<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Said to Miss McGee<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Oooh, you make me feel so fine<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Shall we make it three?<\/em><br \/>\n<em> She said, I got the time<\/em><br \/>\n<em> She brought me down, down-down-down to my knees<\/em><br \/>\n<em> She don&#8217;t fuck around Oh no!<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Her aim is to please<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Oh please&#8230;God bless The Masher<\/em><br \/>\n<em> She makes the night go by so well<\/em><br \/>\n<em> So well<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Oh, I&#8217;d like to take her home and stash her<\/em><br \/>\n<em> And if you ask me where, I&#8217;ll never tell<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>(Solo)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>That night!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Lucy got busted<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Cos&#8217; I&#8217;m a cop from vice<\/em><br \/>\n<em> She shoulda never trusted<\/em><br \/>\n<em> A guy who orders twice<\/em><br \/>\n<em> I&#8217;m gonna pay her a visit<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Out in the women&#8217;s pen<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Walk, run, jump, stand, aw shit<\/em><br \/>\n<em> Who cares?
