Duff McKagan is a busy guy! This comes from 2009’s Summer tour with his band Loaded. Velvet Revolver remain in a holding pattern I thought they would have worked out their singer thing by now. But, it turns out Slash is doing a solo project (which is AWESOME BTW), and now Duff is playing with Jane’s Addiction. This was a fun interview. Duff tells the tale of getting a tat from a tweaker, and the zany, wacky, madcap, side-splitting, gut-busting radio jocularity ensues!

Yet another visit from Brother Zakk Wylde! Always good when he checks in to the show! Especially given the fact that around this time, it was being reported that BLS were done, and Zakk was going through some hard times personally. Later, we’d find out he was out of Ozzy’s band!

Keith from Buckcherry stops by the booth in Kansas City to talk a bit about the world of Buckcherry. Turns out we spoke right about the time their record company foolishly abandoned the band. Very odd considering how big they were. Buckcherry has a weird dark cloud hovering over them. Can’t quite figure it out.  Keith’s good people.

Here’s a band out of New Jersey that may, or may not make it. I like them. They have a great CD called “And You Were A Crow” that you should go pick up if you can find it. We had them come in to Kansas City and put them in front of a festival crowd and they went over great! Keep an ear out for new stuff from these guys. A band worth checking out…assuming they last!

Here we catch up with the KoRn guys! They’ve just signed a new record deal with Roadrunner Records and promise a return to what it was that made them such a groundbreaking band! Here we just take a few moments to talk about perception, make fun of drummer Ray Luzier, and  appreciate where they are in 2009.

Another band that’s been through the wars for a long time. Edsel is always fun to talk to, and we throw Tripp under the bus for being on reality TV, and talk a bit of football! Who knew Dope were such big football fans?

Here’s Corey! This time he calls right before Slipknot kicks off their “All Hope Is Gone” tour. We talk a bit about what it takes to get in shape physically to go on tour and show appreciation for the fact that Slipknot are proudly Midwestern! Corey’s always a good time.

Some fun with the boys in Drowning Pool. Another one of those bands who can hang, and you want to do well because they’re such good people. Here we are goofing off before the go onstage in front of 50,000 in Kansas City!

When ordering sex toys via mail…always a good idea to make sure they are delivered to the right address. Coming (HA!) up with a good excuse is an exercise in creativity!
