Just got the soundboard GN'R in Tokyo show 12-19-2009 (3 hour 39 minute marathon). Love em or hate em, this band is on fire live! This is the best live recording I have heard of the band (I have over 100)--blows the official Live Era release out of the water--I would highly recommend downloading this (play all songs from Chinese Democracy + an incredible cover of ACDC's "Whole Lot of Rose")! NutZ!! Beasties, Run DMC, Rick Rubin, and The Replacements all have far more reaching influence than REM--one could even argue, with the emergence of Modest Mouse, and the like, that the Pixies have far more long-term influence and relevance than REM.
