Hey, really enjoyed the Porcupine Stuff--what a way to bring in the New Year! Just got the soundboard GN'R in Tokyo show 12-19-2009 (3 hour 39 minute marathon). Love em or hate em, this band is on fire live! This is the best live recording I have heard of the band (I have over 100)--blows the official Live Era release out of the water--I would highly recommend downloading this (play all songs from Chinese Democracy + an incredible cover of ACDC's "Whole Lot of Rose")! Here is a link, Happy New Year, best of luck to all! Enjoy:

So when will this band see the Hall of Fame? Great performance from the other night--I guess knocking out the paparazzi in LAX helped fired Axl up--the voice sounds as good as ever!

One more left out, which boggles the mind, is Jethro Tull??? How can Dion, nothing much more than a sixties pop-icon who contributed little original to rock n' roll be in, and Ian Anderson (27 albums later) still be out? Nuts!

Kind of amazing, that The New York Dolls started a whole new genre of music (or morphed three genres into a new, decadent style) and they haven't even been an afterthought of the committee. NutZ!!

Beasties, Run DMC, Rick Rubin, and The Replacements all have far more reaching influence than REM--one could even argue, with the emergence of Modest Mouse, and the like, that the Pixies have far more long-term influence and relevance than REM.
